Woman Kicks Young Kid In Mount Vernon Motel: Police

Police claim the intoxicated 18-year-old woman also attacked an officer and nurses.

MOUNT VERNON, VA—A call about a disturbance at a Mount Vernon motel escalated into assaults on a toddler, nurses and a cop Sunday, according to Fairfax County Police.

Around 6:25 p.m., police responded to a report of a drunk woman at the Red Carpet Inn, 8257 Richmond Highway. Officers arrived to find several men trying to stop her from hurting herself and the woman kicking a toddler. The woman, 18, was not of legal drinking age.

When police were arresting her, she reportedly bit an officer in the arm. She was taken to the hospital due to her intoxication level. Police claim she assaulted several nurses at the hospital.

Jeicel Varela Rosales, 18, of Alexandria, was charged with malicious wounding, assault on law enforcement officer, child abuse, battery against a health care provider, underage possession of alcohol and obstruction of justice.
