FCPS Receives 2020 Award For Excellence In Procurement

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) has been awarded the 25th annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® (AEP) for 2020 from the National Procurement Institute, Inc. (NPI). The AEP award is earned by public and non-profit agencies that demonstrate a commitment to procurement excellence. This annual program recognizes procurement organizations that embrace innovation, professionalism, productivity, leadership, and e-procurement.

For 2020, there were 188 successful applicants, including 22 school districts.

The FCPS Office of Procurement Services demonstrates good stewardship and best practices in the purchase of goods and services through fair competitive processes in accordance with applicable regulations; provides timely distribution; offers high quality customer service; and develops and implements innovative technological solutions to improve procurement processes and divisionwide services.
