Why Go: Though you may have grown tired of the area’s stinkbugs, summer brings are far more beloved insect: fireflies. Let your kids experience the magic of lightning bugs at this Reston Association event. Kids of all ages are invited to come and learn about these exciting summertime insects. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Why Go: If your kids love fishing or have never tried it, they won’t want to miss this Saturday’s fishing derby. Kids of all fishing skill levels are invited to participate in this tournament. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and fishing will begin at 9 a.m. This is a great opportunity to kids and parents to bond over a fun outdoor activity.

Young kids love his performance, and he has quickly become one of the area’s most popular acts in the whole Washington region. He has a great way of getting kids engaged in the show—even parents will love his lively show!
