At South Lakes High, Cynthia Stowers’ Culinary 1 and Culinary 2 students began a concurrent learning model and last week, they began offering to-go service to the school’s faculty and staff. Chef Stowers states, “Please know that we are doing everything we can to provide you with safe, high quality, healthy food. All of my students and I have gone through ServSafe COVID-19 training and have all obtained certification to make sure we are doing what we need to do to ensure safety of our food products and service." Staff members who have enjoyed the culinary meals at South Lakes for years were happy to be able to treat themselves once again. The students are providing curbside service for staff members who are working remotely. Contact news liaison Emily Burrell at ecburrell@fcps.edu.
