Student Journalists Named Crown Award Finalists By CSPA
Student journalists from seven different publications staffs at three different schools have been named Crown Award finalists.

Student journalists from seven different publications staffs at three different schools have been named Crown Award finalists by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) for work produced during the 2019-20 academic year. Crown Award finalists from FCPS are: Yearbook: Chantilly HS, Odyssey (Mary Kay Downes, adviser); McLean HS, Caledonia (Meghan Percival, adviser); Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST), Techniques (Erinn Harris, adviser); Hybrid News: McLean HS, The Highlander (Lindsay Benedict, adviser); TJHSST, TJToday, (Erinn Harris, adviser); Hybrid Magazine: TJHSST, Teknos, (Paul Kosek, adviser); Print Literary Magazine: Chantilly HS, Andromeda (Julianne Abruzzo and Molli Atallah, advisers). All seven of the nominated publications will receive either a Silver or Gold Crown Award at an award ceremony at Columbia University in March 2021. More information is available online.
