Woodson Students Speak With Veterans
Woodson High's Operation Patriot organized a virtual visit with veterans from across the country.
November 16, 2020
Woodson High’s Operation Patriot organized a virtual visit with veterans from across the country, offering Woodson students the opportunity to ask questions, learn about their service, and show their gratitude for their sacrifices. Three of the veterans are currently serving: an Army officer, a Marine osprey pilot, and a chief warrant officer. Two of the veterans participating were medically retired after being wounded in action. Nearly 50 students heard from the veterans about their time in the service, why they chose to serve, and the best and hardest things about being in the military.
