1. A man plead guilty in Roanoke in a gas pump skimming case that took more than $40,000.00 from customers. Leandro "Leo" Sanchez pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud. He is one of about a half-dozen people involved in a scheme that operated out of Miami. (Roanoke Times)
2. After a five-year project, Carilion Children's-Tanglewood Center prepares to open in a few days. The center is located in a 150,000 square-foot space that formerly housed a JC Penney store. The facility will be fully functional on October 4th. (WDBJ7)
