Former Walker Foundry site will soon be known as the Foundry at Norwich Town Center (wsls.com) — A long-vacant industrial site in Roanoke's Norwich neighborhood is being transformed into the Foundry at Norwich Town Center, a $50 million project with more than 100 townhomes and a restaurant. Thanks to new floodplain maps, greenway access, and a special grant providing $50,000 in down-payment help for about 50 families, the development aims to make homeownership more attainable for local working residents.
