Virginia Boy Gets Free Cruise In Exchange For Snapchat Handle

A 16-year-old boy had the Snapchat handle that Carnival wanted and the company went to his hometown to take it from him. Carnival went to Prospect, Virginia, earlier this week to request that Darian Lipscomb hand over his Snapchat handle "@CarnivalCruise" and in exchange, the company offered Lipscomb and his family a free cruise on Carnival's newest ship, Carnival Horizon.

Woman On Drugs Crashes Car With Child Inside In Woodbridge: Cops

A woman high on drugs crashed her car through a fence and caused it to overturn with a child inside Monday in the 12900 block of Ketterman Drive, according to Prince William County Police. Crystal Lauren Williams, 34, of the 13000 block of Ketterman Drive, was charged with child endangerment, driving under the influence, possession of a schedule I or II narcotic and driving on a suspended license.

Chef Mike Isabella Cut From RAMMYs After Sexual Harassment Suit

Washington, DC, celebrity chef Mike Isabella's restaurants are no longer nominees for a top industry award following a sexual harassment lawsuit against his company. A woman who previously worked for Isabella, Chloe Cara, recently filed a lawsuit in DC Superior Court that alleges Isabella and his partners repeatedly sexually harassed her.

First Baby Gorilla In 9 Years Due At National Zoo

The National Zoo is eagerly preparing for the birth of its first baby gorilla in nine years. Calaya, the zoo's western lowland gorilla, is expected to give birth to her first baby any minute.

Chef Geoff Sues Over Virginia Happy Hour Advertising Restrictions

The owner of Chef Geoff's and Lia's is suing the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control over the state's happy hour advertising law. Unlike DC and Maryland, Virginia does not allow bars to advertise happy hour prices, and violations could lead to fines or suspension of a liquor license.
