Congrats to Kilmer Middle School Mathcounts Team "Mathletes"

Congrats to the Kilmer team for their great performance at Regionals & to Garrett Heller for finishing in 4th in Countdown round

Congratulations to the “Mathletes" from the Kilmer Middle School Mathcounts team for their great performance at the Mathcounts Regional Competition last Saturday. And congratulations to Garrett Heller for making the Countdown round playoffs and finishing in 4th place. Garrett qualified for States and will be representing Kilmer Middle School at the State Mathcounts competition in Richmond in March.

This was the Mathcounts 35th annual Northern Virginia Regional Competition, held at George Mason University last Saturday, February 3, 2018, with 51 different schools participating. This Region consists of 44% of the participating Mathcounts Mathletes in the State of Virginia.

Thanks to Ana Ganesan for being the volunteer parent coach. And thanks to the Kilmer Mathcounts club volunteers Lillian Sun and Mr. Prevost for running the club every week.

Kilmer was represented in the Team Round (in alphabetical order) by: Garrett Heller, Amit Krishnaiyer, James Xu and Albert Zeng.

Participating individually, were Saloni Bedi, Ashley Chen, Andrew Huang, Anika Karpurapu, Chamein Lee, and Suraj Vaddi, plus alternates Emily Chen and Andrew Huang.
