In their three-year tenure together, Tampa, FL-based band Tallhart has already built up a solid local fan base and has quickly been gaining widespread recognition, including praise and support from notable bands such as Anberlin, Underoath, Eisley and Say Anything. In fact, Say Anything frontman Max Bemis believes in the band so much that he recently launched Rory Records, an imprint label on Equal Vision Records, to work closely with Tallhart and EVR in developing and releasing the band's forthcoming music. Guitarist Chris Brickman, drummer Reed Murray and bassist Glenn Espinoza collectively create a perfectly balanced musical framework that showcases Segallos' potent mix of lyrical musings on the light and dark sides of life, love, and spirituality -- all delivered through his distinctly soulful, and subtly southern, croons. Through rich guitar tones and pure lyrical eloquence, one can simply feel the sincerity and depth of the band's emotionally charged music.

THE 27S
The 27's origins began in 2010 when guitarist/vocalist Adam Raley took a job in DC and migrated north from his native Louisiana where he left behind the comforts of playing in the highly successful Canvas Red. After months of scouring local musician ads he came across an ad guitarist Jim Connolly posted. Listing influences like the Replacements, The Clash and The Hold Steady, the ad seemed too good to be true. Jim, a veteran of the local DC scene (The Highballers, 69 A Go-Go), and Adam hit it off instantly. Sharing drinks at a local dive, they quickly bonded over their shared love of the many great power pop, indie, and rock and roll bands of the past 40 years. After a few false, they quickly roped in the rock solid rhythm section of drummer Ahmad Asi and bassist Soren Bakken (Helo) and dug in hard. Christened the 27's (after the countless music legends that have left us at that age) the four had an easy camaraderie and the original tunes came pouring out. Determined to capture the energy while still fresh, they opted to enter the studio before even playing a gig. Working with noted producer Don Zientara at Inner Ear studios, the 27's recorded 5 songs in the summer of 2011 that showcase their knack for catchy hooks and loud guitars. Finally, 2012 will see the live debut of the 27s as they seek to make their mark on the DC music scene.
