FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA – Following the stay-at-home order issued by Virginia Governor Ralph Northam on Monday, Fairfax County officials are urging residents to follow the order.

In a message posted to the Fairfax County Emergency Information website, officials said the order means residents should stay in their homes until June 10 with a few exceptions. Those exceptions include getting groceries or medicines, caring for a sick family member or friend, getting medical care, outdoor exercise, receiving essential social or government services, traveling to and from work or a place of worship and travel required by court order to facilitate child custody, visitation or child care.

The Fairfax County government is currently examining their services and locations to determine whether there is any additional impact due to this new order.
