I-66 Toll Lane Project To Force Dunn Loring Residents From Homes
Nearly a dozen homes are in the location of future roadway shifts related to the construction of toll lanes.

DUNN LORING, VA—A handful of Dunn Loring homes in the path of future roadway shifts for the Interstate 66 toll lane project outside the Beltway.
Fox5 reports that residents in 10 homes near the Dunn Loring Metro and Interstate 66 have been receiving offers from the Virginia Department of Transportation and Express Mobility Partners, the private company building and operating the toll lanes. The team is working to buy the properties and offer residents similar properties.
A few residents are waiting on offers. But finding homes that are similar in pricing, location and proximity to a Metro station has been a challenge. Some residents have expressed concerns about potential school district changes during the academic year, WTOP reported.

"The real estate market is very tight in these areas and their needs are very specific, so that has been one of the challenges for our team – to find homes that meet the full needs and characteristics that each of these homeowners have," VDOT Northern Virginia Megaprojects Director Susan Shaw told Fox5.
The I-66 Outside the Beltway project includes the construction of express lanes from the Beltway to Gainesville—totaling 22.5 miles. Three regular travel lanes will remain.
