RECOGNIZED AT 25th RIZAL YOUTH AWARDS CEREMONY
Vienna, VA sisters, Regina Honigford & Rebecca Honigford are two of seventeen outstanding Filipino and Filipino American students from the Washington, DC metro area schools who were recognized during the annual Dr. Jose Rizal Youth Awards, a program organized by the Philippine American Foundation for Charities, Inc. with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines.

The award recognizes academic excellence, extracurricular activities and community service of outstanding Filipino-American youths in the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. Students were also required to submit personal essays on topics related to the life of Jose Rizal. Students participated from all levels -- elementary (3rd-5th grades), middle school, high school and college and above.
