• County eyes spring renovation of historic jail, church (rappnews.com) — County leaders are pushing to move ahead on long-delayed renovations to the historic jail and former Methodist church on Gay Street, key landmarks for Washington residents. Supervisor Keir Whitson, whose district includes the town, says the county must finalize plans soon, spurred in part by a Washington resident’s very visible plea to spruce up the courthouse door.
