If you see him or know anything about his whereabouts, you're urged to call the Frederick County Sheriff's Office or Winchester Frederick Clarke Crime Solvers.

2. Kit Redmer Named Executive Director of Our Health (thewinchestergazette.com) — A longtime public servant who previously led communications for the City of Winchester has just been named executive director of local health nonprofit Our Health, effective October 1. The organization coordinates vital services like primary care, mental health support, food distribution, and literacy programs for tens of thousands of area residents, and this leadership change will help shape how those services grow to meet Winchester's needs.

3. 4. Latest from the Drought Monitoring Task Force: Most of still in a drought (augustafreepress.com) — State drought officials have downgraded conditions for our area, moving Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah counties and the City of Winchester from a drought warning to a drought watch. While recent rain has helped, Winchester residents are still considered in drought conditions, so continued water awareness and conservation remain important even as the official alert level eases.

5. Daily Roundup of Recent Arrests – September 25-26, 2026 (thewinchestergazette.com) — Residents of Winchester and Frederick County can access a regularly updated roundup of recent arrests, with a reminder that all listed individuals are presumed innocent.
