Virginia has five billionaires on the Forbes annual list of billionaires, which was released Monday. The names are familiar to the region and include candy heiress Jacqueline Mars, owner of M&Ms and other treats, as well as SC Johnson cleaning products heir Winnie Johnson-Marquart and AOL and Revolution founder Steve Case.

Exotic Pet Ban In Consideration In Arlington County
A proposed ordinance that would ban wild or exotic pets within the Arlington County boundaries will be debated in June. The ban would prohibit wild and exotic animals — such as monkeys, raccoons, foxes, lions, wildcats, crocodiles and snakes — weighing over ten pounds in Arlington County.

Man’s Plan to Retrieve His Kids Backfires in Stafford: Police

A man had a plan Saturday night to retrieve his children from his estranged wife at the Walmart on 125 Washington Square Plaza, and it worked until it didn't, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Casey Donald Deane Irvin, 37, of White Oak Road, was charged after he allegedly cut both passenger side tires of the victim's vehicle.

Three Gun Burglars Nabbed, Face Federal Charges: Prosecutors

Three men are facing federal charges after they were arrested over the weekend for breaking into gun stores in Chantilly and Fredericksburg and stealing dozens of firearms.
