We've rounded up the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for the week ahead
But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect dry weather with cool mornings and warm afternoons this week.
"The National Weather Service forecast for the greater San Francisco Bay Area for Sunday calls for increasing clouds during the day and mostly cloudy skies at night." according to the National Weather Service. "Daytime highs will be mostly in the 50s to low 60s across the region, with morning lows ranging from the mid 30s inland to the low 40s near the coast. Overnight lows will be in the low 40s."
"Forecasters said a weak trough could bring a slight chance of rain mainly to the North Bay and coastal ranges. Amounts are expected to be only a few hundredths of an inch," the report said.
In other news, authorities in San Francisco are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with the assault of an elderly woman.
The body of a 17-year-old girl was found near a high school in Antioch this weekend. According to authorities, while the identity of the teen isn't known, it was confirmed that she was not a student attending the school.
Plus, a NorCal city manager cleared of wrongdoing after the car he was driving struck and killed two pedestrians, three San Francisco residents caught after stealing from Lululemon and the conviction of a San Francisco man who pushed a mother down a flight of cement stairs.
