We've rounded up the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for the week ahead.
But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect that the rain seen across parts of the region on Sunday to give away to drier and warmer conditions on Monday before more rain hits at night, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected to increase between three and six degrees across the Bay Area, despite an increase in cloud cover. Most areas will see daytime highs in the mid 60s to lower 70s, with the coolest temperatures along the coast.

Rain and gusty winds will return to the region Monday night. The North Bay is expected to see the brunt of the storm, with upwards of over 2.5 inches possible. The bulk of the rain will arrive on Tuesday; flooding is possible across the North Bay and Peninsula.

Also, authorities on Saturday were finally able to recover the bodies of nine people who were killed by an avalanche near Lake Tahoe. The search team's effort had been hindered by intense snowfall following Tuesday's avalanche.
