Reckless Driving Suspect Leads Police on Chase Through Woodland Hills

Police arrested a man and a woman who led them on a chase through several cities.

A reckless driving suspect who led officers on a high speed chase from Hollywood to Calabasas and back to Encino was taken into custody along with a passenger tonight.

The chase began about 7:50 p.m. in Hollywood, Sgt. Clifton Frazier of the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division said.

The male driver of the car headed north on the Hollywood (101) Freeway and west on the Ventura (101) Freeway into Calabasas before turning around and heading south on the 101.

At some point, the California Highway Patrol took over the pursuit, Frazier said.

The BMW exited at Haskell Avenue and then headed west on Magnolia Boulevard before stopping near Libbitt Avenue, where he was taken into custody about 8:20 p.m. along with a passenger, Frazier said.

It was not immediately clear what charges the driver and passenger were facing.
