Welcome to the Gathering Ground restaurant, located at 482 Spring Street in the shadow of Bradley International Airport.

The Gathering Ground is open early for breakfast and serves through lunchtime and the plates are plentiful — from the classic eggs, meat and toast entrees to the stuffed omelets to the breakfast sandwiches that have an extra egg.

And the coffee doesn't take 10 minutes to order and has a fresh home-brewed taste.

And the pie's not bad either.

"Gathering Ground Restaurant is a casual spot to dine, so don't worry about being underdressed," the owners say, referring to the mix of business travelers and locals and passersby the frequent the restaurant.

Cyclists appreciate the parking racks outside the restaurant too.
