More Details Emerge On 'Dateline NBC' Show On Jennifer Dulos Case
Dateline NBC is set to air an episode at 10 p.m. Monday devoted to the disappearance of Jennifer Farber Dulos.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The discovery of zip ties that had Jennifer Farber Dulos' blood on them was the clue that convinced Chief State's Attorney Richard Colangelo that Fotis Dulos killed his estranged wife, Colangelo told NBC News's Dennis Murphy.
Colangelo's remarks will be featured during an episode Monday night of "Dateline NBC," entitled "The Day Jennifer Disappeared." The show is scheduled to air at 10 p.m. on NBC stations.
"Most telling, honestly, was the zip ties that were cut and had Jennifer’s blood on them," Colangelo tells Murphy. "Our theory is that they were used to incapacitate Jennifer in the garage."

The couple were in the midst of a contentious divorce and child custody battle at the time of her disappearance. Prosecutors believe Fotis traveled to New Canaan from his home in Farmington that morning, waited for Jennifer to return from dropping off their children at school, and attacked her.
Blood evidence found in the garage of the home indicated to police that Jennifer Dulos had been the victim of a violent attack, and at some point Fotis used zip ties to bundle her up for transport.
The zip ties were found among garbage that police believe Fotis and his then-girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, discarded in the Hartford area that evening. In the garbage, police found clothing, sponges, mops and other items stained with Jennifer Dulos's blood.
Though her body has not been found, state police Sgt. Kenneth Ventresca, lead investigator in the case for state police, tells Murphy that he is confident that Jennifer will be found.
Authorities have searched for her for more than a year in several Connecticut communities, and at least one site in Westchester County, New York.
Fotis Dulos died by suicide in January before he could stand trial.
Troconis and Kent Mawhinney, a friend of Fotis, were charged with conspiracy to commit murder and their cases are pending.
The Dateline NBC episode, "The Day Jennifer Disappeared," will air Monday at 10 p.m. on NBC stations.
