New Family-Owned Italian Restaurant Planned To Open In Norwalk (patch.com) — Norwalk diners will soon have a new option as Portofino's Trattoria, a family-owned Italian restaurant, prepares to open this fall in the former Pasquale's Osteria space on Main Street. Run by the Rakaj family, who operate La Fortuna in Stratford, the Norwalk location will feature updated dining and bar areas, a decorative wine display, and a focus on warm, personal service and homestyle Italian dishes.

Here's what's in development around CT (ctpost.com) — Norwalk residents should watch this Wednesday's Planning & Zoning meeting, where commissioners are set to act on a Wall Street Village District Overlay to improve parking and add moderately priced housing, and consider a study shaping Norwalk Harbor's long‑term conservation plan. They'll also vote on an 11‑unit townhouse project on Van Zant Street, while similar development and wetlands hearings unfold in towns across Connecticut.
   

3. Dental group launches free oral health program across its CT offices (hartfordbusiness.com subscription) — Families in Norwalk can now tap into a new free oral health program run through Presto Dental and All About Kids offices, offering supplies, screenings, and help finding affordable care. Abra Health Group's "Dental Bank" partners with schools and nonprofits to distribute toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and more, prioritizing Medicaid-insured children and aiming to prevent dental problems before they disrupt kids' health and learning.
   

4. The Most Expensive Listing in Norwalk, Connecticut—Chock Full of Wellness Amenities—Lists for $24 Million (mansionglobal.com subscription) — A waterfront Wilson Point estate in Norwalk has just hit the market for $24 million, potentially becoming the most expensive home sale in town's history. The custom 7,400-square-foot house features sweeping Long Island Sound views, extensive gardens, and wellness-focused amenities like a cold plunge pool, infrared sauna, and specialized water and lighting systems, all designed for privacy and easy indoor-outdoor living.
