Judge Seals Warrants In Missing Easton Couple Case

Police searched their son Kyle Navin's home and believe he was one of the last people to see his parents, Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin.

A Superior Court judge has sealed the warrants that Connecticut state police received to search the home and property of Kyle Navin, the son of missing Easton couple Jeffrey and Jeannette Navin, according to the Hartford Courant.

Court officials said that Fairfield County State’s Attorney John Smriga filed a motion to keep records sealed until Sept. 11, 2015, the paper reported.

Police searched Kyle Navin’s Bridgeport home two weeks ago. Police said they believe he was one of the last people to see the couple before they disappeared. They were reported missing on Aug. 7 by Jeffrey Navin’s sister-in-law.

The Courant reported that detectives are sifting through ashes looking for evidence. They also searched the Navin’s Easton home and woods in Weston and Easton.

The couple was reportedly over $2 million dollars in debt on a Guilford home they owned, and also owed $140,000 from an outstanding electric bill.
