Hey Atlanta, it’s Kenny! Once your new apartment and move timing are confirmed, make a separate plan for your address updates—not just the moving truck.

USPS explains that a change-of-address order changes your mailing address with the Post Office. You still need to tell other senders that you’ve moved, and not every item is eligible for forwarding.

Try a simple three-column list: SENDER OR ACCOUNT / UPDATE NEEDED / CONFIRMED.

Start with the organizations you already deal with, then check the easy-to-forget places: saved shopping addresses, recurring deliveries and subscriptions. Before your next order, look at the shipping address again rather than trusting an old default. Include the correct apartment number.

Use each organization’s own address-update process. Keep confirmations privately, and review any orders already in transit with the sender or carrier rather than assuming an account change will redirect them.
