Police Hope To Make Arrest "By The End of the Week" in Stabbing Case
Two men were injured Friday evening in Adairsville after they were stabbed by a suspect, who remains at large.

Investigators with the Adairsville Police Department say they hope to make an arrest in Friday’s incident that left two men suffering from stab wounds.
The agency said they believe they know who the suspects are and “we’re hoping we’ll have an arrest by the end of the week,” said Detective Michaela LaFrance.

Officers were called to the wooded area around 6 p.m. Dec. 19 along Oakdale Drive near Martin Luther King Drive. Two male victims were injured — one taking a knife to the back to the back and the other to the leg.
They were both transported to Floyd Medical Center where they received treatment. LaFrance said the suspects have not come forward with any information.

“They did not want to tell us who they believe the suspects were, but we know that they are familiar with them,” she added.
The man who was stabbed in the leg has been released while the victim with the injury to his back remains hospitalized.
LaFrance said the incident is not drug-related, and officers have not established why the incident occurred.
