• Barbara Gauthier throws first pitch at Clingstones' Check for Cancer Night (wtvm.com) — Columbus baseball fans packed Synovus Park as the Clingstones hosted a Check for Cancer Night, where local News Leader 9 anchor and breast cancer survivor Barbara Gauthier threw the ceremonial first pitch. Special jerseys were auctioned to benefit Aflac's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, fans received giveaway shirseys, and even a brief power outage from a fallen tree couldn't stop the game.
