• Columbus town hall addresses data center concerns (wtvm.com) — Residents packed a town hall at Columbus Technical College to question a proposed data center that could bring tens of millions in new tax revenue but also potential noise, energy, and environmental impacts. District 8 Councilman Walker Garrett stressed that only the land is approved so far and said Muscogee County would seek strict limits on noise and pollution if a project moves forward. 
• Goodwill Industries bringing local career opportunities with several hiring events (wrbl.com) — Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers is hosting several hiring events in Columbus and nearby Phenix City, connecting residents with jobs from delivery driving to demolition work. Sessions at the Midtown Goodwill Career Center and Phenix City center will feature employers like Jackie Strong Logistics, Muscogee County School District, and the Clerk of Courts, with on-the-spot interviews for prepared applicants.
