Nearly 30 individuals recognized as U.S. citizens during Columbus naturalization ceremony (wrbl.com) — Nearly 30 of your new neighbors took the oath of citizenship Tuesday morning at the federal courthouse in downtown Columbus, officially joining the community as U.S. citizens. Hosted by Magistrate Judge Amelia Helmick, the ceremony welcomed 29 people from 15 countries, with friends and family filling the courtroom to celebrate their milestone.
   

2. Columbus Water Works names interim president, effective immediately (wrbl.com) — Columbus Water Works has appointed Executive Vice President Brittany Brossett as interim president, immediately taking over day-to-day operations after longtime president Jeremy Cummings resigned. Brossett, who joined the utility in 2011 and previously led engineering and infrastructure planning, will focus on maintaining safe, reliable water and wastewater service for Columbus residents while the board prepares a permanent leadership search.
   

3. Columbus residents divided over neighborhood cat colony (wtvm.com) — Georgetown subdivision residents in Columbus packed a recent city council meeting, sharply split over whether a neighborhood cat colony should be removed or managed in place. Some neighbors fear disease and overpopulation, while others say the fixed cats control vermin and deserve to stay, especially after residents spent personal funds on care.
