• Severe storm leaves thousands without power in Columbus (nowgeorgia.com) — A severe Sunday storm knocked out power to more than 6,000 Columbus customers, with over a thousand still without electricity Monday morning, especially in South Columbus where some homes were damaged. Police directed traffic along Veteran's Parkway as downed trees and snapped lines disrupted both North and South Columbus neighborhoods, while nearby counties saw relatively minor effects.
