• Coroner identifies victim of deadly shooting in South Columbus (nowgeorgia.com) — A 24-year-old man, Demarcus Grimes, has been identified as the victim of a deadly Saturday evening shooting in South Columbus. Police responded to Shelby Street in the Benning Hills neighborhood, where Grimes was later pronounced dead at Piedmont Midtown Hospital, and investigators are still working to determine suspects and what led to the gunfire.
