• Columbus Water Works leadership changes as president resigns amid major projects (ledger-enquirer.com) — Columbus residents should know that Columbus Water Works president and CEO Jeremy Cummings has resigned, with longtime executive Brittany Brossett stepping in as interim leader during major wastewater and PFAS projects. She says the utility's mission and key initiatives, including capacity assurances tied to the proposed Project Ruby data center, will continue unchanged while the board plans a search for a permanent president.
   

• Pierce Chapel Road to close for two weeks starting Sept. 21 (wtvm.com) — Drivers in north Columbus should prepare for Pierce Chapel Road to close for about two weeks starting Monday, Sept. 21, between US 27/SR 1 and Blackmon Road for work tied to the US 27 widening. A signed detour will route traffic via Dekalb Drive, Hancock Road, and Blackmon Road while crews lower the roadway to match the expanded highway design.
