Early Thunderstorms Down Trees in Paulding County
The storms rolled through the area between 3-4 a.m. on Friday.
DALLAS, GA — Strong thunderstorms that blew through the area Friday morning left parts of Paulding County littered with downed trees and other debris.
According to the National Weather Service, storms hit the area around 3 a.m. Friday and lasted for about an hour.
Crossroads Church Road, Bakers Bridge Road and Buchanan Highway all were littered with heavy damage from downed trees, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.

The Paulding Department of Transportation and inmates from the Sheriff's Office Inmate Workforce cleared the debris in the early-morning hours Friday.
No injuries from the storms were reported in Paulding County, according to the sheriff's office.

Nearby in Douglasville, the early morning storms knocked out power for thousands of people and downed trees in roadways including Interstate 20.
Traffic lights were out for hours and hail and damaging winds were reported in the area.
