Hiram Officer Gives Booster Seats To Needy Woman
Police were running a "Click It or Ticket" check recently when the woman was stopped.
HIRAM, GA -- A traffic ticket turned into a much-needed gift for a Paulding County woman recently.
The Hiram Police Department was running a "Click It Or Ticket" traffic check when the woman's vehicle was stopped.
Police said in a Facebook post that she had two children in the vehicle who should have been in booster seats, but were not.

That's when the driver and passenger, who was the children's mother, told Hiram's Officer Stephen Johnston the sad news -- they didn't have enough money to buy booster seats for the kids.
The driver got a ticket that day. But the children's mother got something else.

"[W]e provided the children booster seats to allow the children to travel away safely," the post said.
Also ... "We provided proper education with the seats in hopes they'll be used correctly every time they travel," the post reads.
