Hiram Shooting Suspect Surrenders, Charged With Murder
The man is accused of shooting to death an 18-year-old Rome woman during a dispute in June in Hiram.
HIRAM, GA — A 19-year-old Dallas man accused of killing a woman in a Nebo Ridge Estates mobile home in June turned himself Wednesday and is now facing a murder charge.
The Paulding County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday evening Devon Michael Gandy is being held int he Paulding County Jail on no bond in connection with the shooting death of Katherine Maline Castillo-Martinez, 18, of Rome.
Paulding County deputies responded around 9 a.m., June 24, to the 60 block of Barbee Path, where Castillo-Martinez was found with gunshot wounds inside of the mobile home. She was taken to a local hospital, where she died, authorities said.

The fatal shooting was the result of a dispute between multiple people at the mobile home, authorities said.
"As the investigation progresses, more charges are likely in this case," authorities said in a news release.
