Paulding 'Shred Day' To Benefit 'Cops For Kids'
'Shred Day' invites Paulding residents to shred their personal documents, which cuts down on identity theft opportunities.
DALLAS, GA — The Paulding County Sheriff's Office is partnering with Georgia Heritage Bank for Community Shred Day — a chance for residents to make themselves safer while benefiting the Cops For Kids program.
The event will be held April 29, from 9 a.m.-noon at the bank's main location at 18 Georgia Heritage Place in Dallas. The office is located at the intersection of Hwy. 278 and Hwy. 61.
Community members are invited to bring personal papers that need to be shredded in order to help safeguard their identity and protect personal information.

Each person is allowed to bring up to three boxes of papers, with a weight limit of 100 pounds per box.
The shredding service will be provided for free.

However, law enforcement officers will be on hand to accept donations for the Cops For Kids program. Now in its 19th year, Cops For Kids pairs underprivileged children with a deputy to go shopping at Christmas time.
The bank and sheriff's office note that shredding services usually cost $20 per box on average. Georgia Heritage Bank will be matching all donations collected that day.
