Janie Katherine Kelley Mashburn, age 70, of Douglasville passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. She was born on March 24, 1945 in Fulton County to Luther Kelley and the late Katherine Adair Kelley. She worked as an Attendance Clerk at Stewart Middle School in the 1980’s and later retired from Diebold, Incorporated. Janie was a member of the Ladies Auxilary of the American Veterans.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Fred Wayne Mashburn; children, Kelly Mashburn Walker and LeeAnn Mashburn; grandchildren, Angela McClain and Steven McClain; father, Luther Kelley; sister, Pam McHan; 1 niece and 5 nephews, all of Douglasville.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 1:00 PM from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with James McAdams officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Harmony cemetery, Mableton, Georgia. Chad Nails, Ben Thackston, Bobby Johnston, Terry Dunn, Jim Bogus and Chad Mashburn will be serving Pall Bearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
