Jo Ann Burt, age 76 of Villa Rica, passed away, Thursday, February 12, 2015. She was born December 28, 1938 in Carrollton, GA. She worked as a real estate agent for Strickland Realty, and a member of the visitation staff at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel. She was co-founder of the Mourning Glories widow’s group, a member of the Circle of Friends III, also a widow’s group, as well as other senior groups and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church of Winston, GA.

Survivors are her; son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Patty Burt, daughter & son-in-law: Cindy and Floyd Peters; grandchildren: Mystie Huertas, Chad Martin, Michaela Magni and husband Alex, Tate Martin, Hannah Martin, great grandchildren: Ryleigh Huertas, Alleighann Magni and Lyla Magni; sister: Dana Houston, two nephews and their wives and children.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph McCarty, mother, Reba Cook McCarty and her husband, Willard Burt.

Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Liberty Baptist Church, 1651 Burnt Hickory Road, Douglasville, GA 30134 with Rev. Ricky Henson and Rev. Joey Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Mozley Memorial Gardens. Serving as Pallbearers are Chad Martin, Tate Martin, Joel Houston, Paul Houston, Alex Magni, and Rob Gatewood.
