Rep. Gravley Re-Elected As Georgia House Majority Vice Chair

Gravley, a Republican from Douglasville who represents parts of Douglas and Paulding counties, will serve again as Majority Vice Chair.

ATLANTA, GA — Georgia Rep. Micah Gravely of Douglasville was unanimously re-elected Monday by the House Republican Caucus as its majority vice chairman for the coming legislative term.

"I am humbled to serve this selfless group of men and women as their vice chair,” Gravley said. “When talent does not work hard, talent gets beat every single time, and our caucus worked extremely hard to have the privilege to lead this great body of public servants in the House.”

This will be Gravley’s fifth term in the Georgia House of Representatives and his second term as Majority Caucus Vice Chairman. He was first elected in 2012 and was uncontested in his latest re-election bid.

Gravley represents District 67, which includes portions of Douglas and Paulding counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2012 and currently serves also as vice chairman of the Code Revision Committee and secretary of the Judiciary Non-Civil Committee.
