Marketing Adjunct Instructor (georgia.gov) — Chattahoochee Technical College is hiring a part-time Marketing adjunct instructor, with classes taught across multiple campuses that serve Marietta-area students. Applicants need at least a master's-level marketing background or MBA with marketing experience, and will earn $2,200 per course with an anticipated start in November 2026 and no state benefits.
   

2. Cobb County Restaurant Report Card – 10/06/2026 (newsbreak.com) — Cobb health inspectors recently checked five restaurants, including Marietta Local on Roswell Street, which earned a perfect 100. Other inspected spots in Smyrna, Atlanta, and Acworth received grades ranging from low 80s to high 90s, giving Marietta diners a quick snapshot of nearby food safety scores.
   

3. 'My name is Susie. Are you here to adopt me?' (cobbcountycourier.com) — Cobb County Animal Services in Marietta is spotlighting Susie, a one-year-old tri-color terrier available for adoption, and has updated how you can visit the shelter. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome for adoptions, while strays, lost pets, and reclaims don't need appointments at all, making it easier for Marietta residents to find or welcome a furry family member.
   

4. Cobb County Haunted House is just $5 — with a special 'no-scare' evening for little kids (atlantaonthecheap.com) — Marietta residents can enjoy a budget-friendly Haunted House at Jim R. Miller Park for just $5, with multiple evenings of spooky fun in late October 2026. The county-run attraction features live scare actors and special effects, plus an All-Inclusive Night on October 28 that offers low-scare and no-scare sessions tailored for young children and guests with sensory needs.
   

5. FREE! Trunk-or-Treat and inflatable corn maze in East Cobb on October 24th (atlantaonthecheap.com) — Families in Marietta can plan ahead for a free Trunk-or-Treat at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection on Paper Mill Road on October 24. From 4 to 6 p.m., kids can enjoy costumes, candy, carnival games, and a full-size inflatable corn maze, with organizers emphasizing that everyone in the community is welcome, not just church members.
