• Mount Airy extends subdivision moratorium (whitecounty.com) — Mount Airy’s Town Council has extended its subdivision moratorium for up to six more months while it studies Habersham County’s proposed development rules, potentially shaping how and where new growth happens in town. Council members also approved a cost-sharing deal with the county for road paving and renewed a fire protection contract with Cornelia, covering all 508 buildings inside town limits.
