Mandatory Elementary School Recess Could Come with Proposed State Law

The state House of Representatives has passed legislation that would require all Georgia elementary schools to schedule a daily recess period for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Additionally, the bill prohibits teachers, administrators and other school officials from withholding recess as form of a punishment. Police Rescue 8 Women Held Against Their Will at Sandy Springs Home

A 9-1-1 call from a woman pleading for help to escape a $1.3 million Sandy Springs home led police to discover several additional women facing the same plight. The agency on Wednesday rescued eight women who were being held against their will at a home at 100 Strauss Lane, the department confirmed to Patch. A man identified as "the boss" of the women was arrested and charged with false imprisonment and trafficking of persons for labor.>>>Read more.
