"You are heroes; you are warriors," Police Chief Kristen Ziman said of the police officers and other first responders on Tuesday. She added that many of the officers were haunted by the thought that they could have done more to help the five people slain in the shooting.

Ziman also acknowledged that the Aurora officers have a long road to recovery ahead, both physically and emotionally.
