NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS

- David R. Millman, 66, of the 400 block of Cherry Lane, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device, and was arrested at 10:50 p.m. Sept. 12 during a traffic stop at Patriot Boulevard and Willow Road. He was released after posting $3,000 bond and given a court date of Oct. 23 in Skokie.
- Jennifer Belpedio, 52, of the 1200 block of E Prairie Brooke, Palatine, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, using an electronic device, speeding, and was arrested at 9:05 p.m. Sept. 13 following a traffic stop at Willow Road and Founders Drive. She was released on $3,000 bond, and was assigned a court date of Sept. 29.
- Meghan N. Jessop, 35, of the 23000 block of N Birchwood Lane, Deerfield, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding 21-25 mph over the speed limit, violating a median, operating an uninsured vehicle, and was arrested 1:26 a.m. Sept. 14 at Willow Road and Interstate 294. She was released after posting $3,000 bond, and assigned a court date of Oct. 23.
- Alex M. Grimm, 22, of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, speeding, and was arrested at 12:18 a.m. Sept. 17 at Lake Cook Road and Skokie Boulevard. He posted $3,000 bail, and was assigned a court date of Oct. 23.

- Tamara Sylvestre, 31, of the 1600 block of W Lunt Lane, Chicago, is accused of driving while license suspended, improper lighting, and was arrested at 1:17 a.m. Sept. 13 following a traffic stop at Dundee and Pfingsten roads. She was released after posting $2,500 bond, and assigned a court date of Oct. 20.
- Oscar Salvadore, 48, of the 8600 block of N Harlem Avenue, Niles, is accused of driving while license suspended, having a suspended registration, and was arrested at 5:12 p.m. Sept. 13 following a traffic violation at Dundee and Landwehr roads. He was released after posting $2,500 bond, and given a court date of Oct. 20 in Skokie.
- Leonta E. Green, 36, of the 0-100 block of Wheeling Avenue, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended driver's license, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 1:52 a.m. Sept. 16 at Lindenwood Lane and Sanders Road. Green was released after posting $2,500 bond, and was assigned a court date of Oct. 20.
INCIDENTS
IDENTITY THEFT
A Sunnyside Circle resident reported at 5:14 p.m. Sept. 10 they received a debit card and letter from the Illinois Department of Employment Services. The resident said that they never applied for the benefits and does not know who would have used their information.
BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
- A person called police at 10:29 a.m. Sept. 11 to report that while they were working in the area of the 800 block of Skokie Boulevard, they were alerted that two males exited a vehicle and were observed entering their work trailer and removing a backpack blower.
- A person reported that during the overnight hours of Sept. 16 someone entered their unlocked car and removed a set of work keys and a house key in the 1700 block of Walters Avenue.
- A resident in the 1200 block of Church Street called police at 9:34 a.m. Sept. 16 to report someone entered three unlocked vehicles which were parked in their driveway during the overnight hours. Each of the vehicles had evidence of glove boxes and center consoles being disturbed. The resident reported that one pair of sunglasses was taken.
THEFT
- A resident in the 2800 block of Walters Avenue reported at 6:37 p.m. Sept. 11 that someone removed a sign from the front yard of their residence.
- A resident in the 2400 block of Illinois Road called police at 11:01 p.m. Sept. 11 to report that someone removed a sign from the front yard of their residence.
VANDALISM
A person reported on Sept. 11 that someone threw rocks on the sidewalk and used spray paint on an electrical box at Cherry Lane and Meadow Road.
ILLEGAL DUMPING
A resident in the 1800 block of Thornwood Lane called police at 9:50 a.m. Sept. 14 to report that a construction crew placed a wheelbarrow of concrete on the parkway in front of their residence.
TRESPASS TO VEHICLE
Police, while investigating another matter at 5:34 a.m. Sept. 16 in the 2300 block of Walters Avenue, observed a car parked with a door ajar. Officers made contact with the owner who related that nothing appeared to be missing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
A resident in the 2200 block of Center Avenue reported at 9:53 a.m. Sept. 16 that they observed on security camera that two people attempted to gain entry to their vehicles but were unsuccessful.
FRAUD
An employee at Premier Beauty Supply, 400 block of Academy Drive, called police at 7:59 p.m. Sept. 16 to report they received an email from a product supplier that stated that the supplier had changed banks. The employee stated that they provided funding to this new bank, then learned that the supplier had not changed banking institutions.
RETAIL THEFT
Police responded to Nieman Marcus, Northbrook Court, 1515 Lake Cook Road, at 5:43 p.m. Sept. 16, for a report of a "grab and run" retail theft. Witnesses reported that about 10 males believed to be between 16-20 years of age, wearing hoodies and masks entered the store and removed numerous handbags without paying for the items. A loss prevention agent was struck with a fist by one of the fleeing males but reported no injuries.
