The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for several Maryland counties Friday morning.

Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Charles, Harford and Prince George’s counties are under the advisory, which is in effect from midnight to 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 5. The District of Columbia and parts of Virginia are also included. >>> read more

8 Charged in ‘Reverse Prostitution’ Sting in Howard County

Howard County police charged eight men for soliciting prostitution at a Laurel hotel this week, and officers have also been posting messages on adult websites to warn potential offenders.

The charges stem from a “reverse prostitution sting,” in which officers posted an ad on the website Backpage, “a site known to detectives to be used for prostitution,” according to police. >>> read more
