The suspect in a double shooting at the Jessup truck stop on Easter has died in an apparent suicide, according to the Howard County Police Department. Jacinto Del Prado, 52, of Greenbelt, was fatally hit by a train in Lanham at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, police reported. >>> Read more.

Shooting Sends 7-Year-Old, Father to Hospital: Police

Former Raven Sentenced After Starving Dog to Death
The former Raven charged with animal cruelty among other offenses at his Reisterstown home will spend nine months in jail, a judge ruled recently in Baltimore County Circuit Court. Terrence Cody, 27, of the 12400 block of Old Grey Mare Court in Reisterstown, was sentenced to serve 270 days due to multiple counts of animal cruelty. >>> Read more.
