After fears from some residents and beach-goers that topless women would flock to its sandy shores, the Ocean City Council passed an emergency measure Saturday, June 10, to ban public nudity. The move came after word that the beach patrol in Ocean City would disregard women who are sunbathing topless circulated across social media.

Lothian Teen Killed In Head-On Crash: Police

An 18-year-old girl from Lothian was killed in a head-on crash when her car crossed the center line on (Old) Southern Maryland Boulevard, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The fatal accident happened about 3:44 p.m. near Sands Road in Lothian. Investigators say the victim was Stephanie Michelle Musser, 18, of the 1oo block of Main Street in Lothian.

Driver Who Killed Newlyweds In Edgewater Used Heroin Before Crash

A Calvert County woman was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter charges stemming from a collision on Valentine's Day 2016 in Edgewater that took the lives of a newlywed couple, Daniel and Kayla Amos. Lauren Renee Scott, 28, of North Beach, was sentenced to eight years in prison with five years of supervised probation after her release for two counts of negligent manslaughter.
