📰 News we're reading
• FSU named among top schools (cnhi.com) — Frostburg State University just earned top national recognition, ranking No. 10 for Best Value for In-State Students and No. 20 among Top Public Schools in its region. Beginning in fall 2027, FSU will also extend in-state tuition rates to students from nearby states, strengthening Frostburg's role as an affordable higher-education hub for Appalachian communities.
• Frankfort travels to Mountain Ridge with history on the line (wvnews.com) — Friday night's Mountain Ridge–Frankfort showdown in Frostburg could set a new area record, as Frankfort aims for its 33rd straight win at the Coal Mine. The long-running rivalry has been remarkably even, with just eight total points separating both teams over 18 meetings, making this matchup especially compelling for local fans planning to attend.
• CASE NO. C-01-CV-26-000363 IN... (times-news.com) — A Frostburg-based company, Brode Investments LLC, has filed a Circuit Court case to foreclose redemption rights on a tax-sale property in Cumberland.
