• U.S. finishes strong to conclude Acro Juniors, World Youth Competitions • USA Gymnastics (usagym.org) — Rockville gymnast Zoe DeShields helped her women's trio place seventh at the Acro Junior World Championships in Pesaro, Italy, capping a strong showing for Team USA. Alongside teammates from Potomac and Great Falls, she competed against top international groups, giving Rockville residents a local athlete to cheer on in a global arena.
   

• Auto Thefts, Burglary and Robbery Among Incidents in MCPD Weekend Summary (mocoshow.com) — Montgomery County Police reported several weekend incidents, including an auto theft in the 1st District, which covers Rockville, Potomac, and parts of North Bethesda. Additional crimes ranged from a fatal pedestrian collision to burglaries, thefts from vehicles, and weapon and drug arrests across Silver Spring, Germantown, Gaithersburg, and other nearby communities.
