Firefighter Injured in Three-alarm Blaze

Reports of the fire on Belton Street came in just after 1 a.m.

A firefighter was injured as crews fought a three-alarm house fire on Belton Street overnight.

The fire reportedly began on the back deck of the two-story home at 2 Belton Street around 1 a.m., then quickly spread to the house, according to reports. Smoke quickly filled the house as the fire made its way into the walls.

Part of the back porch collapsed, followed by a “mayday” call for an injured firefighter, who was quickly rescued and taken out by ambulance. Crews got the fire under control after a third alarm went out.
